REVIEW: A Traitor Like Judas - Nightmare Inc. Goodlife Recordings, 2005
8/10
A Traitor Like Judas - Nightmare Inc. - cover art After listening to a lot of metalcore bands that sound pretty much the same, one is always sceptical before hearing a new album. Most of the times the doubt is justified and another plain record is added to the pile, but now and then one gets a surprise. The new album, “Nightmare Inc”, from the German band A Traitor Like Judas is one of those pleasant surprises. This is the band's second full-length album and they have added more melodic metal to their sound compared to the previous album. The result is not something new and innovative that we have never heard before, but there is still something here that is uplifting. A Traitor Like Judas plays with so much aggressive intensity and heart that it strikes you right in the stomach. Applause to the great production as well, that is not common in the metalcore genre. “Nightmare Inc” will not only appeal to the metalcore kids, but to those who are fans of melodic metal as well. This is one of the best metalcore album that I have ever heard and I strongly suggest that you all give it a try.
