REVIEW: Aaaaargh! Bloody 2-Handed Chainaxe - Elliptic White Square Self-financed, 2001
1/10
Aaaaargh! Bloody 2-Handed Chainaxe - Elliptic White Square - cover art This album must be the strangest thing that ever found its way to my stereo and I can't really say I'm happy about it. No matter how hard I try I can't seem to enjoy the "music" on this album the slightest bit. I can't imagine that this is a very serious band though since they call themselves "Aaaaargh! Bloody 2-Handed Chainaxe Blow". These six tracks last for more than 65 minutes which is just about 65 minutes too long for my taste. The songs have some slightly interesting titles but that doesn't help much when there is nothing but noise samples, awful manipulated vocals and unstructured distorted guitars to listen to. During my entire life this must be the worst thing I have ever had the misfortune of listening to. These guys are from France and have been playing together since 1999 but I can't really understand why they keep making this kind of music instead of doing something serious? I couldn't possibly advice you to listen to this unless you are of a seriouslys masochistic nature but if you want to read some equally weird reviews written by the band leader check out their website below.
