Abaddon
Incarnate has been existing since 1989 but have only released one album until
now. They have now left their old label Season Of Mist since they weren't
happy with their promotional work for the band and signed to their native
Irish label Sentinel. If I start out by telling you that this album was
recorded in Soundlab Studios in Örebro, Sweden, together with Mieszko
Talarczyk of Nasum then you probably know that this is extreme, fast, furious
and grinding death metal that is not meant for the easily offended. Ireland is
becoming a good metal country with bands like Cruachan, Primordial, Mourning
Beloveth and now Abaddon Incarnate as the most interesting names at the
moment. I don't have anything negative to say about the production job which
was executed almost perfectly. The deep growling suits the music fine but of
course you can not catch one single word throughout the whole album. This is a
good death/grind release, certainly the best of its kind from Ireland, but it
is a little too noisy for my taste. I have to admit that I prefer the new one
from Pig Destroyer in front of this. Good things about the album: intensity,
furious speed, growling. Bad things: noise, slight
monotony.
