REVIEW: Act Of Gods - Stench Of Centuries Osmose Productions, 2004
7.5/10
Act Of Gods - Stench Of Centuries - cover art I will burn in Hell for sure, if for nothing else then for being very late with this review. Welcome me father Satan! AOG is a Brutal Death Metal act on Osmose Productions and this is their debut effort. Eleven songs, all very brutal, very technical is what you will find here. Although this is a typical CD in any Brutal DM collection the band achieved high standards in both composing and playing. It starts off with a blast and that continues till then end. And obviously the guys are more used to brutality than to melody, because slower, melodic parts is the weak point of this material. They tend to bore a little bit because some instruments like continue to play as they played in intense parts and others start some melodic theme. It has some sense, but is not enjoyable enough in my opinion. But, main portion of music is ok, with frenzy vocals and sweating technical guitars, all accompanied by drum-storm in behind. For brutal lovers, a good release.
