If you
are looking for some music to put on when you throw your next party then
there's no need to look any further (unless you prefer Britney Spears or
Ricky Martin of course...). Century Media are slowly transforming into a more
mainstream label by signing bands that doesn't really fit into the earlier
profile of the label and All Boro Kings is one of these. This is similar to
what Roadrunner Records went through in the mid 90's but unlike them Century
Media don't throw away their old bands but decide to create a wider spectrum
of releases instead. This is a good thing and I think it shows that Century
Media cares about their artists unlike Roadrunner did. As some of you may
remember All Boro Kings was the title of a highly successful album from the
crossover band Dog Eat Dog. That band is still alive but the guitarist /
vocalist Dan Nastasi decided that it was time to spend some time with his
family after the birth of his child and thus left the music business
temporarily. Now he is back together with old Dog Eat Dog and Mucky Pup
members in the newly formed band All Boro Kings. Their debut release shows a
very happy band who have created the perfect party album that sounds like a
mix of 2 Unlimited, Rage Against The Machine and Faith No More but with a more
straigh-forward metallic rock'n'roll edge. Believe it or not but this one
rocks! Fans of rap metal, hardcore, punk or just plain party music will not be
disappointed. Buy this one just for the fun of it (only to finish off with a
lousy pun...).
