Have you heard of Sarcófago, Sextrash and Sepultura? Have you missed that kind of raw, primitive and untamed aggression in the metal releases from South America today? Then, here is your remedy. Anal Vomit from Lima, Peru, are already veterans, having been assaulting their countrymen with their violent tunes since 1992 but it is not until now that their debut album is being offered to the world by the Displeased subsidiary From Beyond Productions who are dedicated to the extreme metal underground. "Demoniac Flagellation" was actually meant to have been released by another label back in 2000 but they never lived up to their promise to the band. Anal Vomit is all about simplicity. They never had the intention of writing complex songs or adding any advanced guitar solos to their music. Instead they want to bring back the filthy and disgusting noise that left Brazil in the late 80s. Fans of early Destruction and Kreator who also have a love for bands like Sarcófago and Holocausto will certainly enjoy Anal Vomit as well.
There are very few releases like this one who are good enough to replace the old classics but these Peruvians come close. It is raw, it is primitive but above all it is fast and groovy with killing vocals. The lyrics are sung mainly in English but there are also some in Spanish which is certainly an interesting feature of this disc. In the evening, kick back, relax, conjure your leather and spikes, travel back twenty years in time and let the South American violence pour out of your speakers. The next morning you will have a very sore neck, that's one thing for sure. Anal Vomit will receive a very warm welcome from all fans of old-school black / death / thrash metal. There are only a few retro bands who hit the right button so to speak so be sure to check these guys out before it's too late.
