REVIEW: Annihilator - All For You AFM Records, 2004
1/10
Annihilator - All For You - cover art Whew! What stinks? Oh, wait....it's this album!! My, how far Jeff Waters and Co. have fallen since their awesome debut. What in the hell has happened to them? They were NEVER close to even reaching the greatness of "Alice In Hell" since "Alice In Hell" was released. It's as if they've gotten progressively worse since then. But at least the other albums had at least a couple good songs on it. But this time, they've finally done it. They've finally relased quite possibly one of the worst albums I've ever heard. From the vomit-inducing mainstream drenched travesty that is the title track, all the way to the yawn fest, "Sound Of Horror" (the title says it all).

There are VERY little redeeming factors in this album. Some assorted cool riffs now and then, but that's it. I dare even call this a metal album. It kinda teeters the line between mallcore and actual metal. It's neither, but it certainly leans closer to mallcore than anything. The biggest problem is that the ideas and performances are all very bland and boring. No heart, no punch, it's all just there, in a muddy, spineless mess.

For shame, Jeff Waters. Shame on you for dropping this pile shit on us, after all of your fans have supported you through all the good and bad (more bad than good, if you ask me) years. And this is what you give them. Annihilator have been on a gradual but steady decline since the stellar "Alice In Hell", and with "All For You", they've finally hit a wall and crashed with a sickening thud.
