REVIEW: Another Kind of Death - Sleepless Every Night Underhill Records, 2007
7.5/10
Another Kind of Death - Sleepless Every Night - cover art Spain's Another Kind of Death plays a noisy metalcore that combines influences from bands like Zao and Converge, amongst others. The album Sleepless Every Night was released in late August 2007 and the album is the second from this quintet. Often one expects the worst when receiving a record from a Spanish band but gladly Another Kind of Death is a constellation that certainly exceeds expectations. The heavy chaotic wall of sound hits the listener lika a punch in the face, but you'll keep begging for more. Dynamic and intense with a great deal of musical talent. Despite the lack of originality Another Kind of Death still feels genuine and manage to add something of their own to a crowded genre. If you like Norma Jean or Zao you can't miss this one. Another Kind of Death is one of the best bands that has emerged from Spain in quite a while.
