Arghoslent is an American band that has released many demo tapes and have been working hard with their concept. They see themselves as an underground band. They are very outspoken and their lyrical approach is the society. Many people hate the band due to their opinions but I choose not to care about that and review the music instead.
And behind the lyrics you find death / thrash metal in the same vein as Sweden’s Impious. Very harsh vocals and many melodic guitar leads, pounding drums and bass and always a great amount of energy. I like it a lot, and one thing that is good besides what is stated earlier is that the songs are long. I think this kind of music is somewhat epical and long songs are part of the deal. The production is not that clear as it is possible today, but I think the sound fits the music really well and actually makes it better. From the beginning to the end the Americans deliver high-class and interesting metal music for anyone that share their ideals or choose not to care about the concept. And hopefully you’ll think like me, because there are good music on this plastic disc. Arghoslent have a great sense of making memorable riffs. Sorrow, rough or raw ones, you can find every kind of mood here and I like it, I like it a lot. But there are better bands out there so it’s all up to you and your pocket (or Internet connection).
