REVIEW: Attro - Making Up For Wasted Time UGK Disccos, 2003
8.5/10
Attro - Making Up For Wasted Time - cover art Attro is a Brazilian band formed in 1987 by singer and bassist Marivan Ugoski. Since then, the band is constantly changing its line-up, but the Thrash Metal like old times is strong and alive in the music. This "Making Up For The Wasted Time" brings the band's trademark: raw sound, heavy riffs, professional way to take the work. The CD is opened by the fantastic "Snares Of Life", followed by "Enemies" and "The Mission". The perfect-song "Fucking Liar" is the best in this. 10 tracks, and plus 5 bonus (4 tracks from the 80s of the band and a version for "Os Deuses Estão Loucos", from Made In Brazil, one of the first Brazilian Rock and Roll bands). The bassist/singer Marivan Ugoski plays with all the technique he took by his experience and sing like Cronos; guitar player Alexandre Fernandes is a great musician who plays by the soul to the Metal and does it with very competence; and the drummer Rubens Hallal crushes his drums with violence and ability. Another great moment in the album is the instrumental "Bacterial High Degree", a morbid song. The cover art production and the booklet are good. Everyone who names oneself as headbanger must get this CD. Now!
