REVIEW: Bizarre Embalming - Necrosadistic Surgery Bizarre Leprous Production, 2002
6.5/10
Bizarre Embalming - Necrosadistic Surgery - cover art Despite the low-budget cover art of this album the music is of rather high quality. Bizarre Embalming is a gore / grind band from the Czech Republic and I think this is their debut album even if they have recorded at least one demo in the past. The music is basically typical grindcore but with more death metal influences than usual and also some Slayer sounding grooves. It seems as if these guys also have a love for punk music and Bay area thrash but that is just my guess. The production is very solid and there isn't many flaws to mention at all. The only thing is that the drumming is a little boring at times but that's about it. The band doesn't offer anything new and this isn't the best grind album ever made but fans of the genre should still not be disappointed with this release. Except for the fourteen first tracks they have also included a cover of Blood's "Insomnia" and also a track called "Prolapsus Recti" which is taken from their first demo. Intense, fast and brutal grind with plenty of groovy riffing and a high level of lyrical sickness. What more could you want from a band like Bizarre Embalming?
