REVIEW: Carpathian Forest - Morbid Fascination Of Death Avantgarde Music, 2001
8/10
Carpathian Forest - Morbid Fascination Of Death - cover art 'Morbid Fascination Of Death' has the same morbid spirit as 'Strange Old Brew', which has been written and recorded at the same time as 'Morbid Fascination Of Death' but it's more 'experimental'. There are some keyboards, some female vocals, and saxophone on 'Cold Comfort' and 'Nostalgia'. But the music even in those songs is still very gloomy, unhealthy and hateful. By the way the booklet mentions that guest musician Nina Hex "likes the Pain, is a slut of Hell and a slave of Satan". Judging by her looks (a whole page of the C.F booklet is dedicated to her!), there is a good chance that she is a slave to the kebabs too. She needs to loose some weight very fast. Now, cutting the crap, I believe that this is one of the best Black Metal albums money can buy and I really think that you should go and buy this album.
