I was not too impressed with the debut album from this Finnish band but now things have changed a bit it seems. The musical influences stay the same but the band has become so much more than what they used to be. They have grown mature and the song writing has improved, resulting in music that should be of interest to most fans of melodic power metal. "Legacy Of Hate" is the final mix that would be produced if Luca Turilli, Sonata Arctica and Skyfire sat down to write music together, if that would at all be possible that is. The vocalist has a similar way of singing as Olaf Hayer with Luca Turilli although his voice is not quite as strong yet. There are also some heavy keyboard orchestration from time to time that reminds me of Skyfire, who has now ended up at the same label as well by the way after an initial release for Hammerheart. A step in the right direction for the young band who are starting to find their own identity. Some additional details worth mentioning are the experimentation with some kind of growling vocals in a couple of tracks which doesn't quite fit in, nor are they done very well, and also the guest appearance of Richard Andersson (Time Requiem) who plays a keyboard solo on "Settlement".
