REVIEW: Conquest Of Steel - Stadiums Of Steel No Face Records, 2002
10/10
Conquest Of Steel - Stadiums Of Steel - cover art More Spikes, More Beer, More Metal Than Metal!! is what is being mentioned on the back of the new C. O. S T-shirt and that is just about all you need to know about this totally Cult and uniquely Heavy Metal, British band, that has already made it in the pantheon of Heavy Metal –if nothing else- just for the total œ•¤‘L anthem "Fistin' in the name of metal" (that along with Born to Rock, Righteous Victory of war, Hard Lovin' Woman and Steel is the Law is included in their last release "Priests of Metal") and has immediately become probably because of the unbelievable lyrics – the favoured song of the patrons in the Metal nights that I organize / DJ for here in London. Good bands with good compositions have come and gone in their hundreds in Heavy Metal, but I have never seen or heard a band like C. O. S. No other band has the unbelievable sense of humour that they possess. Record labels keep releasing unbelievable crap bands and they promote them as cult or true Metal warriors, or –even worse as Hollywood Metal (!!!), when at the same time
