REVIEW: Corpsevomit - Raping The Ears Of Those Above Blackened Moon Productions, 2001
6/10
Corpsevomit - Raping The Ears Of Those Above - cover art Corpsevomit is not a new band since they originally formed in Chicago in the year 1992. They have played lots of shows around the US with bands like Incantation, Deceased, Macabre and Gorguts and in 2001 Blackened Moon Productions (run by the guys of Michigan based band Summon) released their new album. Corpsevomit is playing extreme metal, that's one thing for sure, but they are also playing very energetic, fast and at least somewhat varied. The growling vocals are also as aggressive as they get and I think fans of brutal death metal should be interesting in checking out this band. I liked them at first when I listened to this disc but in the end it gets a little too much. Corpsevomit is a very decent band but they have got to perform better than this if they want to reach the top of the genre. This album is powerful and brutal enough to be enjoyable though and, as I've already said, if you are into American extreme metal you might want to check it out. The cover art is not very good looking but the music is at least better than that!
