This is the second time the Swedish rock band Crazy Lixx releases a two track CD as an indication of what a possible full-length album would sound like. The CD “Heroes Are Forever” takes you right back to the 80s and the music is straightforward, simple rock with a lot of sleaze influences. I must confess that this is not my cup of tea at all but I must admit that the title track at least has a hook. It is one of those annoying songs that you don’t like but you just can’t get it out of your head. The second track, “On your marks, Get set, Rock!”, is just as bad as the title and that one doesn’t even have that hook that is so important in this melodic genre. If you are a diehard fan of bands like Keel you can’t miss out on Crazy Lixx; you will love these Swedes but I and the rest of the population will avoid it as far as it is possible. This is just too much sleaze.
