REVIEW: DK Limb - Defy Define Definition Alveran Records, 2006
5/10
DK Limb - Defy Define Definition - cover art DK Limb is a South Florida based band that was formed in 2001. Their music is best described as emo mixed with indie rock, which makes them a quite unusual signing at Alveran Records. Sometimes there is a touch of hardcore in the band's label debut “Defy Define Definition”, but those are exceptions and the album would be better without those parts. Because of the dominating emo sound the hardcore screams feel out of place. DK Limb is not altogether a bad band, but perhaps they need some time to develop an interesting sound that doesn’t resemble a huge number of other bands. As it is now, this is just a boring album, not bad, but boring. Perhaps there are some kids that will find this appealing but there are many other bands in this genre that offers more interesting music.
