"The Dissolution Of Eternity" marks the end of the eternity trilogy from the Austrian duo made up of electronic mastermind Tharen and the voice supreme Elisabeth Toriser. The last album from the band was one of the most impressive darkwave releases ever and I was really looking forward to their new album with the highest of expectations. I was not disappointed though. Well, this album doesn't quite reach up to the perfection of "In Nomine Aeternitatis" but it is not far from it. If you listen to the first album in the trilogy and then this one you will certainly notice the leap that the band has taken from their first trembling experiments with apocalyptic electronics and symphonic orchestration to the highly perfected sound of today. Dargaard is one of the most innovative bands in the music scene today and will certainly be remembered as a monumental foundation in the history of dark music in general. This album is a little more classically influenced than the last one with more fluent and less harsh song structures. Unfortunately this leads to Elisabeth's beautiful voice sometimes being buried a little in the music. Nevertheless, Dargaard remain on top of things and this is yet another wonderful release from Napalm Records (Draenor Productions is a Napalm division), one of a few labels in the world who see originality and creativity as their top priority. Fans of the band will not be disappointed.
