This is the last
chapter of the trilogy. Goodness reflects the light and evil bears the seeds
of all darkness". Such are Tharen's last words to end this opus that he
composed and played. The only other member on this project is Elisabeth
Torister, the graceful singer who also composed the vocal parts. Dark,
mystical, symphonic, beautiful musical structures on which Tharen uses his
voice in the spoken form. The music is very calm and slowly evolving and even
if somewhat repetitive, remains quite magical and majestic. The instruments
used are not described but if it's electronics, they sound really good like
the winds, harp and percussions. "The Fleeing Time" is one of my favorites
being quite enchanting with gorgeous female voice guided by a piano and harp
duo on nice percussions. The lyrics are in latin just as "In The Omnipresence
Of Death" and "A Prophecy Of Immortality". On the other hand, "A Path In
The Dust", sounds pretty solemn with its great chant, symphonic arrangements
and strong percussions that would suit well for a royal cortege. "Night
Before The Vastland Storms" is an awesome classical composition installing a
magical aroma between your ears. "The Isolated Vale" has some incredible
strings partitions that makes it sound like a menuet sang by a Gothic
Princess. If you were to ask me if this is metal, my answer would be yes.
It's a great Gothic Metal opus but heavy, absolutely
not.
