REVIEW: David Neil Cline - Thorough Gazochtahagen Records, 2001
7.5/10
David Neil Cline - Thorough - cover art David Neil Cline continues to struggle against the commercial forces that decides what people should listen to or not. Just like before this album is full of classic 80's metal / hard rock riffs and this is why I like this guy so much. The music is playful but still very well performed and it makes you wish that you were living the 80's again because these were the golden days for all kinds of music, not just metal. Even though I and many others love the music on this album I feel a little sorry for David Neil Cline because he is heading against the wind of change these days. Don't let yourself be fooled by the real ugly cd cover of this album because the music is a thousand times better as you may already have guessed. David Neil Cline is a very talented musician and it would be a shame if people didn't realize this. "Thorough Scrutiny" is a great album for a hot summer day or a party any time during the year. If you want to get away from boring monotony and depressive noise this is an album for you. Just listen to a few of the songs and you know what I am talking about.
