REVIEW: Death Du Jour - Gamashinoch Hammermill Records, 2005
5.5/10
Death Du Jour - Gamashinoch - cover art Fledgeling label Hammermill Records has re-released Death Du Jour's self-released debut EP from 2003, Gamashinoch, as its initial offering. This is a sickening saucer from the Goregrind subgenre of the Death Metal family that will likely have purists pumping their fists madly in the air while whirling their necks in true windmill fashion. These Finnish bastards display a harsh, crushing style reported to "appeal to fans of Rotten Sound and Cryptopsy" according to the press release. If you're a sicko for Goregrind and enjoy some of the most underground of sounds, check out Death Du Jour. This is for those of you out there that consider Deicide to be mainstream.
