REVIEW: Delight - The Fading Tale Metal Mind Records, 2001
7.5/10
Delight - The Fading Tale - cover art For those who enjoy bands as The Gathering and Nightwish, as well as maybe the closer band in the genre, Rain Fell Within, Delight comes in as a good choice. Very sweet metal, with a blending female vocalist, that really knows how to perform, makes this band worth it's name. They have a good rhythm section to backup the vocals with, and for those who fear this will turn into a overly synth-used affair, it is more based upon heavy guitars and the beautiful voice. The band takes on a coversong as well, doing George Michael's "Careless Whisper" that also really works well. I've never liked the original, but Delight's version is heavy and beautiful at the same time, making the bands own interpretation more tasty. Delight is a band that can reach far if they are able to find their way out of their home country of Poland...
