Dusteroid is a London based band with a few years of history together. "Albedo Zero" is their self-financed demo and it contains five tracks of a music that the band themselves describe as heavy-vocal-stoner. That description is quite fitting and when regarding influences it is hard not to mention Orange Goblin. The vocalist sounds most of all like he has eaten barbed wire for breakfast and I don’t mean that in a positive way. Think a bear with vocal cord problems and you’ll get a hunch of the sound. Behind that harsh voice you’ll find boring riffs that are combined into tracks sounding like numerous of other stoner bands. It is hard to listen to the entire demo at one time, and there are only five tracks on it so that can’t be a good thing. At the funkiest parts the music is tolerable, but "Albedo Zero" mostly fluctuates between annoying and just plain boring.
