Eidomantum is a new black
metal band hailing from outside the city of Linköping in the southern part of
Sweden. This is only a demo and the band is currently unsigned which came a
little bit as a surprise to me since I have heard worse bands signed than
Eidomantum. Eidomantum consists of three members and play a traditional style
of black metal without keyboards. The music is quite melodic with some pretty
nice riffing in the first two songs but the latter two are not that great. The
sound quality is not even close to perfect since it was recorded in the
basement of one of the band members. The drums are sometimes not heard clearly
and I´m not very fond of the dark grim vocals. However the members of
Eidomantum have got some musical talent and this is a band that could interest
labels who deal with black metal.
