REVIEW: Eisregen - Farbenfinsternis Last Episode Productions, 2001
1/10
Eisregen - Farbenfinsternis - cover art The mystery goes on with Last Episode's priorities, and Eisregen are here with their 4th album for a very strange reason. They have even managed to sell 50,000 albums of their previous albums. Do I have really this awful taste when I can not swallow this?? Eisregen are probably not too known outside of Germany, with their all-German lyrics. Their avantgarde death/black metal does neither fit very well with these vocal arrangements, although the band musically can seem to be quite progressive at times, with rhythm changes and a variety of different elements like violins, jazz rhythms and an inspiring bassplayer. Still the grunting German vocals go on my nerves, and neither the Death coversong "Born Dead" can do anything to improve my point with this band. I didn't like them before, and I don't like them any better now. End of story!
