REVIEW: Enthroned - Carnage In Worlds Beyond Napalm Records, 2002
8/10
Enthroned - Carnage In Worlds Beyond - cover art After three full-length albums and one mini album released through the British label Blackend Records, Enthroned have now finally joined the hordes of Napalm Records which is a good career move I believe. Their last album "Armored Bestial Hell" was somewhat of a disappointment to me but I am glad to see that the new one is much more interesting. This is the Enthroned I want to hear - powerful, melodic, aggressive, intense, sinister and evil as ever before. This is the first album from the band featuring their new drummer Alsvid from the French black metal band Seth and he is doing his job very well indeed. I have never been a big fan of this Belgian band but this album is actually a very good release that should not be able to disappoint any fans of raw primal black metal. I definitely believe that this is the best release from Enthroned so far and the vocals are also stronger than before. The lyrics are not that much to talk about though since they are rather boring and stereotypical. Who cares anyway, it's the music we listen to, right? Napalm Records is one of my favorite record labels and I'm glad to see that they continue to sign high quality acts. Stand-out tracks: "Infernal Flesh Massacre", "Bloodlife", "Diabolic Force", "Radiance Of Mordacity".
