REVIEW: Fleshgore - Killing Absorption Metal Blast Records, 2003
8.5/10
Fleshgore - Killing Absorption - cover art Fleshgore have unveiled their debut full length album, and it just recently made it's way stateside. With the sudden surge of brutal death metal bands trying to incorporate a hardcore into the element, it's getting harder and harder to find a good band in that style who can pull it off without a gratuitous breakdown.

Killing Absorption is probably the remedy for those death metal woes. While the band's sound lingers in the old school death metal style, the band keeps up the brutal death aspect flawlessly with sick drum work like on the track "Infernal Earth", and gutteral vocals that aren't over the top or sound like someone recorded them while gargling mouth wash.

The album has many stand out qualities, and every track presents itself as if telling you "If you don't pay attention we'll continuously kick you in the nuts until you do!" feel to it. The music is simply brutal and fast paced, and the songs "Sky Funeral" and "Interuterine Dilemms" will have you begging for more.

Really there's not much that can be said about this album that doesn't include praise. It's practically a picture perfect release. The quality is outstanding, the lyrics are great, everything on this is just fantastic. Perhaps the only real disapointment is that it only lasts a little more then a half an hour. Truly, this is a release that all death metal fans will enjoy.
