REVIEW: Fuelblooded - Inflict The Inevitable Copro Records, 2006
7.5/10
Fuelblooded - Inflict The Inevitable - cover art Thirteen years before a change of name, and after that another four years before the first actual debut was released ‘Inflict the Inevitable’, by the Dutch band Fuelblooded. Though I’m from Holland myself, I had never heard of the name Fuelblooded before. Fuelblooded make straightforward metal, a mixture of different genres, mainly the Thrash and Death metal genre’s. Very intense melodies, drum blastbeats and heavy growling is what describes Fuelblooded in a few words. But there’s more to it. Especially ‘Constructive Destruction’ stands out in my opinion. A brilliant drum intro, followed by a high-tempo main riff with powerful vocals. Definitely one of the highlights of the album. The titlesong is actually an intro to the next song ‘Hate of a thousand ages’. With song good guitar riffs and pounding drums it’s not a bad way to build up tension for the final latter half of the album. ‘Hate of a Thousand Ages’ is also one of the highlights of the album. A little less up-tempo in the beginning, but swiftly changing into a very powerful and intense song. The first real slow song is ‘Dissector of Souls’, which, according to Fuelblooded, has a ‘slow and pounding sound’. I couldn’t disagree, and this really adds some more variety to the album as a whole. All in all I can say that ‘Inflict the Inevitable’ is a very pleasant album to listen to, and truly a recommendation for most thrash-death metal fans.
