It is not very often that I’m getting to review remix albums, perhaps because metal and hardcore bands seldom release any remixes (and for that we probably should be thankful). The Italian nu-metal band GF93 are one of the exceptions and earlier this year they released the album “The Bloody Bastard Remixes” with 14 remixes of tracks from their previous releases. At its best parts the album is uninteresting, at its worst it is irritating and hard to stand. If you want electronic music there are many, many better records than this one. And if you want something that resemble any kind of metal you should avoid this as well since all you can find here is a faint likeness. The only ones who would enjoy this album are probably those who are die-hard fans of GF93.
