REVIEW: Holy Moses - Disorder Of The Order Century Media, 2002
7.5/10
Holy Moses - Disorder Of The Order - cover art Holy Moses are not exactly newcomers on the metal scene since the band was formed in 1980, the same year that I came to be. After releasing their debut album in 1986 they grew to become one of the leading bands on the young European (mostly German) thrash metal scene alongside giants such as Destruction, Sodom and Kreator. The thing that separated Holy Moses from their comrades was the fact that they had a female vocalist named Sabine Classen, one of the most brutal female vocalists that this world has had the chance to enjoy. The band more or less broke up in 1992 but in 2000 Sabine reformed the band once again, probably a lot due to the crowds of fans who demanded a comeback. Even though it has been over twenty years since she started screaming for the sake of metal she still has what it takes to front a high standard thrash metal band. The line-up is not exactly the same as it was back then and unfortunately the music doesn't quite match her blackened voice. This is still another high quality release that should appeal to all fans of the old classic thrash metal from the 80's because not that much has changed. The queen of the damned is back to show us what real metal is supposed to sound like and she does it very well.
