I.N.R.I. played under the name Stigmatheist
from 1994 and released their debut album "It All Ends Today" through Voices
Of Wonder before changing both name and label for this second effort. The
Dutch death metal scene is one of the strongest in the world and bands like
God Dethroned, Sinister and Callenish Circle have become very successful. God
Dethroned's own Henri Sattler is also the man behind Cold Blood Industries
and he does his best to further push forward new bands from his own country.
I.N.R.I. is one of them and this second album of their's actually sounds a
little like God Dethroned with their strong sense of melody but it also has a
lot of brutal stuff on it. Good musicianship, insane riffing, violent growls,
blast beats and a lot of fast-paced songs (15 tracks in 36 minutes!) make this
a very enjoyable album for every fan of brutal and melodic death metal.
Particularly recommended for fans of God Dethroned, Krisiun and Malevolent
Creation. No keyboards, no spooky intros, no samples, just pure, straight in
your face anti-christian death metal done the Dutch way. I.N.R.I. will not be
remembered as innovators within their genre but they do what they do very
well. The Cold Blood Industries team is growing stronger day by day now even
though the competition is extremely tough these days. Stand-out tracks:
