"Revel In Bloodshed" is the debut album from Infinited Hate, the band risen from the ashes of Holland's death metal veterans Sinister who unfortunately decided to call it quits earlier this year. The line-up is exactly the same as the last Sinister line-up but the dutys have been divided slightly different between the three. Rachel handles the vocals as usual but here together with Aad Kloosterwaard who has decided to leave his drumming days behind him. This album does not suffer from the use of the drum machine but instead it helps in maintaining a thundering beat throughout every song. With this project the musicians wanted to combine the nostalgia of the early death metal bands with the brutality and fierce aggression of modern US death metal. They have succeeded pretty well and Ron van de Polder's handling of both guitars and bass provides this debut album with a powerful punch, balancing technical displays and speed nicely. The vocals are quite varied and this I like, sometimes ultraguttural, sometimes higher but never approaching the crispness of melodic death vocals. This is brutal and uncompromising the way death metal should be. A better production would have taken this album further but Infinited Hate has delivered an enjoyable debut. Sinister is gone but a new chapter has been written.
