REVIEW: Into Eternity - Dead Or Dreaming DVS Records, 2001
7.5/10
Into Eternity - Dead Or Dreaming - cover art This album was one of the most positive surprises I've had in a long while. I didn't quite expect this kind of explosive and energetic metal to come from a band that I've never even heard of before. Beautiful vocal melodies, great progressive riffing and exceptional female guest vocals from a girl called Amy Ozog makes this album very interesting. Even though there are mostly clean vocals on the album the music is very intense and a mixture of all possible styles of metal. Into Eternity is one of the most unique new bands in the world today and it would be strange if they weren't to become a big name on the international metal scene very shortly. They do without a doubt have the necessary talent to achieve everything they could ever want. The music on this album is very varied, ranging from the soft atmospheric passages of "Elysium Dream" to the almost black metal sounding "Selling God". If you would like to hear one of the most unique and unconventional metal albums ever made this is it. The only thing that needs some polishing right away is the clean male vocals.
