Fast, unrelentless, pounding death metal. That’s all that is happening on “Circle of Perversion”. Inveracity know how to pound out the grinding death metal, but aren’t very creative in doing so. The band is from Greece, but play American styled death metal while adding absolutely nothing new to the scene. Just straight ahead angry as fuck metal. The guitars can be dizzying, and the drummer’s speed hardly ever slows down. That’s all this band has to offer though. Lyrically they lack any sense. In a scene where singing about mutilating bodies or eating human flesh is accepted there are also some really intelligent bands who write smart lyrical material. Sure it’s fun to a certain extent listening to Cannibal Corpse’s lyrics, because of its fantasy. With Inveracity they have some serious problems that they need to deal with. The song titles are ridiculous and lame at best. It only gets worse once you read what is written within each song. The whole premise to this album is fucking women while killing them, or beating the fuck out of them, and busting them up. I don’t know if they are just trying to piss people off, or if they’re trying to seem strong by dominating women lyrically. Whatever their reason, I could careless. There’s far better grinding death metal in the world than what Inveracity has to offer.
