REVIEW: LS - TTL Dragon Flight, 2000
2/10
LS - TTL - cover art Once again I find myself reviewing something I don´t know what to call. LS is a weird mix of cold ambient music and electronica with some ritualistic "drum" sounds here and there. The first track is a little symphonic but the rest of the album consists of extremely experimental music. It is very slow and dark in its nature but it is oceans away from metal or darkwave like Dargaard and Mortiis. "TTL" is an album completely instrumental and the man behind the project, Brian Coffey, claims to have composed the strange symphonies by combining elements of computer science and studies of Tao and Zen. I suppose this kind of music could serve a purpose in its right environment but just listening to it makes no-one happy and I dare you to listen to the whole album without losing your mind. If you´re really into extreme music in the noise/ambient vein this might be something to check out but I myself wouldn´t recommend it to human beings nor my cat.
