Lair of the Minotaur is about three things and three things only: punishing riffs, pounding drums, and lyrics about Greek mythology. They like three bands and only three bands: Celtic Frost, Venom, and Slayer. Here they serve up a three track and three track only limited edition EP that offers a cannibalistic taste of the forthcoming full length album on the titular track (with >3 minutes of keyboard weirdness after the bludgeoning Metal) and an otherwise unreleased gem in "Horns of the Witch" (which is only 1 minute long) Said limited edition EP is a three inch and only three inch mini CD -- who knew those things were still around? Kudos to the Southern Lord for putting out this brand of sickness and for doing so on a highly collectible 3" CD of which only 2000 exist, period. I've got #1322 in case you're wondering. Run out and get one of these if you're a completist or just get the full length sickness of The Ultimate Destroyer and be crushed into the abyss. LOTM own. "The Wolf" is a song that hails from the debut album, Carnage, and the included video is good times, friends.
