What the fuck is going on in Spain!? Since the turn of the millennium, grindcore has been given new life from many different bands in Spain. Naming a select few: Denak, Unsane Crisis, Overnoise, and Looking for an Answer. Each being leaders of hardcore grind, while staying true to the old school sound. Looking for an Answer (LFAA) recorded these 15 tracks back in 2003, and released them on vinyl through Throne Records. Finally, for those who don’t own a record player anymore, “Living Dead Society” have unleashed “Buscando una Respuesta” on CD. The songs contained here have all been previously released, but by the old line up consisting of a drum machine. Enter Moya, a drum killing machine. Who has made LFAA even more violent, which almost seems impossible. If you haven’t heard LFAA before, then expect to get your head ripped from your neck by these crusty grindheads. . . . So in 2003 the band decided to give life to the songs that have appeared on different splits while releasing a sort of best of album. I’m not familiar with all the songs here, so most of the album sounds fresh to me. Even the songs I knew have a different sound. The drum machine wasn’t obvious on previous recordings, but with the addition of a real drummer in Moya, he has completed the band!! LFAA have the energy of old school Napalm Death, and with that being said, you should understand how intense these songs are. The 15 tracks blast out at an insane rate. Crushing most grind being recorded these days. This is a must have for every grind fiend. There isn’t one complaint from me towards the extremely brutal “Buscando una Respuesta”. Classic. All socially aware lyrics are written in both English and Spanish. Next release I’d like to hear their song “Biocidio” re-recorded.
