Old school thrash is what comes to mind first, then the death styled vocals begin to growl through, and I find myself hooked by this band. Only three songs presented on this promo. But with these tracks it leaves me wanting to hear a full length from Loss, and that’s the intent. Very rarely do I get excited about thrashy death metal. Both scenes have seemed to hit a wall in creativity. Now I’m not saying that the three songs offered here are ground breaking, but they are catchy well written songs. The rhythm section is a definite highlight, with each instrument sounding clear, and tight as fuck, while not being too technical. Even the guitar solo’s don’t sound tired. I’m in no way a fan of soloing, but I find myself flying off along with them. Sweden has so much talent in the world of metal, and Loss just proves this. I’d like to hear more, to get the full effect of what these guys are capable of.
