Pure destruction; mankind has no chance of survival. Man Must Die has set out to destroy. Their crippling death/grind is fast and extremely brutal, yet still catchy. As a debut album, “…Start Killing” is leaps and bounds heavier and smarter than most death metal these days. The best way I can describe their brooding sound is a cross between Sepultura in the days of Arise, with the sheer devastation of Neuraxis. The grind pours from their veins, with harsh death styled vocals. The constant frenzied attack of the vocals and twisted guitars just swarm the listener, as the drums pummel away. You are left as a puddle of blood. This album is truly a worldwide attack. MMD hails from Scotland where they recorded “…Start Killing”, but was mixed in Montreal Canada by Kataklysm’s guitarist Jean Francois Dagenais (who produced and engineered the album as well). A total of nine songs rage through your speakers, wanting to kill. Only to ease up and relieve you for brief moments of melody. Take a deep breath because you’ll soon be in submission again. Don’t fight it; you’ll loose!! So just submit you’ll be happy that you did.
