The debut album from Megadeth is a very good
one. Megadeth was formed by Dave Mustaine who earlier had been part of
Metallica and helped them writing the songs for their first album. One or two
of these songs also appear on this debut album of Megadeth but with different
lyrics - Mechanix is the same as The four horsemen on Metallica's debut album
Kill 'em all. This album is very fast and melodic and the vocals are very
nicely done by Dave Mustaine who has a great voice. What brings the grade down
is that it's extremely short - only 27 ½ minute long. You can notice the
difference when it comes to musical quality if you compare the debut albums
from Metallica and Megadeth but Megadeth is still a very good band and
deserves almost the same success as Metallica. If someone has the lyrics for
this album I would very much like to have them! The vocals are of course not
as aggressive as Metallica's but they are filled with energy. If you like
speed metal this is an album to buy.
