REVIEW: Midnight Configuration - Redemption Of The Physical World Nightbreed Recordings, 2001
8.5/10
Midnight Configuration - Redemption Of The Physical World - cover art Dance music for the devil? That was my first impression when listening to this compact disc from the British electronic project Midnight Configuration. The music is based on dark techno beats and deep scary vocals, a perfect mix that makes this one of the most interesting gothic / electronic releases I've heard in a very long time. Midnight Configuration will satisfy your deepest hidden desires and cover you in a nice coating of velvet darkness for more than fifty minutes. Inspired by the Necronomicon this album contains some oriental sounding samples and it has also been praised by leading dark authors like Gavin Baddeley and Brian Stableford. Evil, eery and gothic this album is sure to bring happiness to a lot of black souls all over the world. If you are into dark music in general you can not be disappointed with this release. The people of Midnight Configuration takes gothic music to a whole new level and this is one of the most innovative projects that has been given life to in the new century.
