REVIEW: Min[o]ra - Square One Self-financed, 2004
7.5/10
Min[o]ra - Square One - cover art If you happen to listen to the 4-song EP we're discussing in these lines, you'll probably think: "Wow, sounds like a good new American band!" Well, you'd be wrong... Although creating some pretty high-quality so-called "nu metal" in the vein of Korn, Ill Niño and stuff alike, Min[o]ra is a quartet hailing from Sweden's capital Gothenburg. Brought to life a short time ago, at present the band consists of Tommie (vocals), Kenny (guitar and backing vocals), Robert (bass) and Mattias (drums), and together they're presenting their firstborn offering. "Square One" is self-released EP, recorded at Gain Studio and built of 16 minutes of the above-described audio-substance. The sound quality is more than decent, the members' musicianship deserves respect, and the music on the record shall definitely please quite a lot modern metal adorers. ...and, by the way, the guys are seriously looking for a second guitar player, so if you'd like to apply for the job, or simply wanna check out "Square One", just drop a line or two to Min[o]ra themselves at info@minora.org.
