REVIEW: Morbid Death - Secrets Recital Records, 2002
6.5/10
Morbid Death - Secrets - cover art Listening to the bandname, I was expecting a big bad negro coming out of the speakers to help me bang my head, but no... This was sweet stuff, like epic and atmospheric very soft death metal, in the vein of old Lake of Tears, Moonspell etc. Quite wellplayed, with alot of sweet melodies, and actually that is what makes the album what it is, as there are those important flowing riffs that make this album work out okey. The guitarist has made some quality in here, and mixing it with a halfrasping voice as well as fragments of clean vocals, Morbid Death do their job well. Not that it's too innovative as in style or neither over the top good, but it's a decent job in all directions, and hopefully a band that can grow a further identity over time. This is a good beginning...
