REVIEW: Morgue - The Process To Define The Shape Of Self-Loathing Adipocere Records, 2002
10/10
Morgue - The Process To Define The Shape Of Self-Loathing - cover art Holy fucking Hell!! Morgue will make your head haemorrhage. “The Process to Define the Shape of Self-Loathing” is fucked. Intense raging grindcore, that blasts through your speakers at an incredible rate. Morgue doesn’t let up, relentless.. .. . . . It is chaotic noise, but so much more than that. The drums pummel along with the dissonant guitars, but they don’t cripple the sound to the point where you can’t decipher the overall sound. The guitars do a great job slicing through the wall that is the drums and the demented vocals. As for the vocals, they remind me of the dude from Minus’ “Jesus Christ Bobby”, but this French band is on some heavy dosage of speed. The label describes Morgue as deathcore, but it’s more brutal than that. Grindcore to the max, but also borders on the Industrial line. Brilliant, I love this fucking album. It hasn’t left my stereo for two weeks now. The bonus track at the end is a rather interesting industrial sized techno mix, using bits and pieces from songs within the album. Very cool album to release your anger to. . . … . . Warning: It may cause headache’s to weak people.
