Well, now at least I have a frisbee for the summer... A few German boys from bands like Liquido, Flyswater and Tristesse decided to join forces in early 2003 to create My Early Mustang and show the world that you don't have to be American to write boring, insipid and modern rock. Upbeat emo-rock with the obvious radio love song "Miss You" with an incredibly silly cliché refrain and plenty of punk pop flavour. I have no clue as to what the band members have done previously with their respective bands and I doubt most people outside the German speaking countries do. To be honest they can keep this to themselves because I just don't see much of a point with it if you are one of the visitors who came to this website for a reason. If you want radio-friendly pop / rock with sing-along choruses then you might want to give My Early Mustang a chance but there are actually good songs being played on the radio and not one of them can be found on this album. The only song which even remotely reached me was "Over My Head". MTV will definitely be interested in this band because they obviously want to drown the world in punk / pop bands who all sound the same. If Nuclear Blast wants to market My Early Mustang in the same forums as they market their other releases they are doing themselves and the band a great injustice. This bores me and I'd prefer to listen to Mozart, Britney Spears or even 2 Unlimited in front of this at any time.
