REVIEW: Narcotic Creed - Twicet Of Fate Worldchaos Production, 2001
8/10
Narcotic Creed - Twicet Of Fate - cover art Even though Japan has been known for a long time to be a great place to sell European or American music there are not that many bands coming out of the country but here we have one of those definitely worth some attention wherever you may live. Narcotic Creed might however already be known to a lot of European metalheads since they did a tour after their debut album "Fatal" in 1994 and had the chance to visit England, France, Switzerland and Italy. If you don´t know the band it might be a wise idea to acquaint yourself with their music which is in fact really good. One thing have puzzled me a bit though, what does the word twicet mean...? Ignorant I may be but this is still a very good album and Narcotic Creed shows once and for all that Japan is a place to count with on the world map of metal nations. The band´s style of playing has been given the mayhap not so informative name "shotgun thrash metal". If you want to translate it you might say that they´re playing very technical and melodic thrash metal with powerful clean vocals, perhaps a little progressively influenced as well. We might not have a new Metallica or Megadeth ascending from the land of the rising sun but Narcotic Creed and this album is still well worth the money spent I assure you. The only thing I have to complaing about is that the production could have been a little better.
