Negurã
Bunget is no doubt the pride of Romanian metal and now they have returned with
their fourth full-length album so far since they started out back in 1995.
After three albums for their native label Bestial Records they have now signed
to the Italian label Code666 who have quickly grown to become one of the most
interesting labels in the world dealing with experimentalist and extreme
metal. With lyrics in Romanian I can't really tell you anything about the
lyrics of "'N Crugu Bradului" so I will leave that to those few of you out
there who know this language. The album opens up with a spooky, evil intro...
Oh, sorry, I was trying to be sarcastic but it apparently doesn't work that
well in writing. Anyway, when this mandatory element of a true black metal
album has waned off we get to hear what these legendary blacksters are all
about. Beware, this is not your regular black metal release. These Romanians
offer us not only the basic essentials of nice, fast and progressive black
metal riffs but also plenty of ambient passages with a symphonic shade.
Together with this they also offer us some acoustic guitars and more
experimental sections with clean vocals. Negurã Bunget have yet again produced
a nice enjoyable and atmospheric album but they are still not fully reaching
my soul with their music.
