REVIEW: Nexhagus - The 12 Song Demo Self-financed, 2003
1.5/10
Nexhagus - The 12 Song Demo - cover art From the homeland of electro-industrial masters like Skinny Puppy comes Nexhagus - a computerized one-man project called to life in the summer of 1997 in Toronto, Canada. Obviously, it has taken this person "only" seven years to complete the offering that reached us - the very informatively entitled "The 12 Song Demo". A dozen of home-recorded cuts we've got here, yes... although I definitely wouldn't call them "songs". Nevermind the bad sound quality, but the substance... Oh my... Almost an hour full of badly composed and performed, annoyingly monotonous synth-pop-disco with an attempt at including industrial elements and "evil" harsh vocals in it... however just an unsuccessful attempt. The result? I'm sorry to say it, but that's definitely (my personal) absolute audio-shitpile of the year. As stated completely correct by the "artist" hidden behind Nexhagus on the CD's sleeve: "I have suffered for my art, now it's your turn." You'd better not. You'll suffer.
