The
Spanish l-o-v-e-s epic power metal, just to spell it out for you. Northwind
has
a certain name in Spain, and stylewise they fall right in line with bands
such as Rhapsody,
Hammerfall etc. etc. Not as symphonic as Rhapsody I should
say, but neither as classic
80's metal as Hammerfall, if you see what I
mean. Power metal is without a doubt the
classification though, and they
surely seem to follow the fantasy-epic sagas here, with
dragons, knights and
great battles. For me it turns out as expected. An album as
forgettable as
another day pass by, without any great highlights, but neither with the
slaggering feeling to it. It could have turned out better I think, if they
had been able to
sing in English, as it's all in Spanish, which is
habla-habla Espanola for me. (don't
understand shit...). I just can't get
used to the Spanish singing, and nevertheless some
of the musicianship is
pretty decent, it qualifies not more
than...
