REVIEW: Nueva Etica - Inquebrantable Alveran Records, 2006
8/10
Nueva Etica - Inquebrantable - cover art The Argentinean band Nueva Etica is a septet with their roots deep into hardcore traditions. The band has been together since 1998 and their album ”Inquebrantable” was released on the hardcore label Alveran Records this spring. The album is mixed and mastered at AntFarm Studios, in Denmark, by Tue Madsen (Sick of It All, Heaven Shall Burn, Born From Pain, etc). Nueva Etica delivers metalcore that mostly consists of aggressive hardcore with moshing interludes and the concept is far from new. But these South Americans have so much intensity and feeling in their music that it still is most convincing. The band has three vocalists and all the lyrics are in their mother tongue. Sometimes I wish I could understand the words, but the concept as it is fits Nueva Etica perfectly. ”Inquebrantable” is a really good hardcore album and fans of Hatebreed or any other hardcore band should definitely give this album a chance. Nueva Etica is here to take over the world!
